Looking for hope

This piece is about a woman that is dealing with depression. Her world is cloudy and gray. I chose gray to reflect the sentiment of sadness. Her eyes are glassy, and her features seem gaunt. She looks lost. Yet outside her window is a beautiful sky with a variety of hues if she can only keep her gaze instead of looking down into the blackness. I chose to divide the page into the darkness and light to reflect the two parts of our human existence.
