As an immigrant, art has been my bridge between worlds—a means of self-expression that has helped me navigate culture shock, adapt to new environments, and stay rooted in my identity. Through my work, I strive to capture the essence of my journey: the places I’ve been, the experiences that have shaped me, and the textures and emotions that define this moment in time. I am drawn to encaustic monotypes for their physicality and the dynamic interplay between printmaking and painting, allowing me to create layered, tactile pieces that echo the complexity of my story. Creating one-of-a-kind art is a passion of mine. It allows me to delve into the depths of my imagination and create something entirely new and fresh that combines different worlds. I love the process of experimentation, mixing colors, textures, and mediums, as it takes me back to my childhood days of playing with color and is very satisfying to my inner child.   Overall, my art reflects my unique perspective as an immigrant artist who has lived physically, emotionally, and mentally in hybrid worlds. I invite others to explore our mutual connection across time and space through my work.
